Metallic and Composite Assembly Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Structures Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Impulse Space. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of metallic and composite structures for our spacecraft.
Key Responsibilities- Metallic Fabrication: Perform assembly work on metallic structures, including drilling, bolting, applying safety wire, and installing bushings.
- Composites Fabrication: Assemble and bond thermal protection materials to metallic and composite structures, and perform cleaning operations using solvents.
- Assembly and Installation: Install fasteners, safety cable, inserts, and clecos, and perform composites assembly work, including hand trimming, adhesive bonding, and fastener and insert installation.
- Quality Control: Review work instructions and specifications, and complete work buyoffs electronically as the work is being performed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on hardware manufacturing experience in a production environment.
- Drilling and Reaming: Experience with drilling, reaming, countersinking tight-tolerance holes using electric or pneumatic tools.
- Composites Lamination: Experience with composites lamination, vacuum bagging, and assembly work.
- Hardware Integration: Experience with hardware integration, including avionics, propulsion systems, pneumatics, and final clean.
- Structural Assembly: 5+ years' of demonstrated experience with structural assembly work on rockets, launch vehicles, or spacecraft.
