The Role

We're seeking a seasoned commercial litigation attorney with extensive experience in breach of contract and creditor's rights matters. This role requires a highly motivated and organized individual with at least 5 years of litigation experience. New York or New Jersey license is required. The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage litigation matters from pre-litigation disputes through litigation and judgment enforcement efforts.
  2. Collaborate with outside counsel on litigation and settlement strategy.
  3. Develop and implement litigation strategies for material litigations.
  4. Develop and access case strategies, handle discovery requests, and review court filings.
  5. Work cross-functionally to mitigate litigation risk and ensure compliance with regulations.
  6. Negotiate and settle cases in the pre-litigation stage.
  7. Review policies, claims, and other records.

Requirements

  • JD from a recognized US Law School. Qualification to practice law and membership in good standing in the bar of at least one state (NY or NJ preferred).
  • 5+ years of litigation experience post law school in a top law firm or in-house at a financial institution.
