Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team at CPMC Van Ness Campus. As a Clinical Documentation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient medical records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient medical records to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and nursing staff to gather information and clarify documentation.
  • Utilize clinical knowledge and expertise to develop and implement strategies for improving documentation quality and reducing medical record errors.
  • Participate in concurrent review processes to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
Requirements
  • Current CA RN licensure.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a complex acute care setting, with a focus on clinical documentation and medical record review.
Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 5x8 hour shifts, with start times between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM.

Please note that certain certifications, such as ACLS, BLS, and PALS, may have specific requirements. Additionally, physical exams and other health documents may be stipulated for certain positions.
