Western Technical College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach nursing courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and contributing to the development of the nursing program.
Key Responsibilities- Teach nursing courses in a clinical format, promoting social justice and equity in the learning environment.
- Develop and deliver instructional design activities, addressing student concerns, and guiding students in developing critical thinking skills.
- Monitor student progress, conduct student evaluations, and provide input on division accreditation and student records.
- Responsible for instructional learning activities, providing academic referrals, and organizing, developing, and delivering outcomes-based curriculum.
- Complete all required College training and maintain the skills necessary to complete the essential functions of the position.
- Master's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education, or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with enrollment in a Master's in Nursing Program or Doctorate program and making continuous progress toward completion.
- Two years (4000 hrs) occupational experience with one year (2000 hrs) within the last 5 yrs.
- Hold a current, active registered nurse license or privilege to practice in Wisconsin that is not encumbered.
- Caregiver background check results acceptable to clinical sites.
- Eligible for/or meets WTCS Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements.
- Teaching Experience.
