Key Responsibilities
As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality academic curriculum, instruction, and assessment to our students. Your primary focus will be on providing a productive and challenging learning experience that prepares students for the workplace and/or further education. You will also work to promote social justice within the division and the larger academic institution.
Your duties will include:
* Delivering courses in multiple modes of delivery, including modern classroom, interactive distance learning, online, and hybrid/blended formats
* Developing and delivering instructional design activities
* Addressing and referring student concerns
* Guiding and supporting students on a one-to-one basis outside the classroom as well as in the classroom setting
* Assisting students in developing critical thinking skills to understand and apply concepts of subject matter to vocational, ethical, social, and personal practices
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have a Master's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education, or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with enrollment in a Master's in Nursing Program or a Doctorate program and making continuous progress toward completion. You must also have two years (4000 hours) of occupational experience, with one year (2000 hours) within the last five years.
Preferred qualifications include teaching experience. You must also hold a current, active registered nurse license or privilege to practice in Wisconsin that is not encumbered, and be eligible for/or meet WTCS Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements.
