Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician II provides critical mechanical support for manufacturing and packaging operations at Nutramax Laboratories. This role involves ensuring the efficient operation of production equipment, maintaining a safe working environment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and organize mechanical steps to ensure safe and quality product production
  • Perform equipment setup and adjustments to maintain peak efficiency and adhere to cGMP guidelines and SOPs
  • Maintain and repair mechanical and equipment-related to production, including filling, packaging, and manufacturing equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment using root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent reoccurring failures
  • Perform general facility maintenance, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work
  • Interact with external vendors or contractors for services associated with mechanical operations of production equipment and facilities
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Policies
  • Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks and train new employees on equipment maintenance, safety, and SOPs
  • Lead and mentor maintenance department members to develop a teamwork environment
Requirements

Attention to detail and process analytical skills are required. Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all staff levels. Additionally, this position requires standing on a regular basis and using hands and arms to lift and reach. Must be able to lift/move packages and material weighing a minimum of 50 lbs.
