Job Summary

Cox Automotive Mobility Fleet Services is seeking a skilled Shop Trailer Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform licensed DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles
  • Conduct repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Work with the service writer to assess customer needs and provide information or assistance
  • Manage concurrent tasks and prioritize work activities and time allocations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's license and DOT medical card
  • Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to exert oneself physically over long periods of time without tiring
Preferred Certifications
  • ASE T8 (PMI) certification
  • ASE T3 (Drivetrain) certification
  • ASE T4 (Brakes) certification
  • ASE T5 (Suspension) certification
  • ASE T6 (Electrical and Electronic Systems) certification
  • ASE T7 (HVAC) certification
  • ASE 608/609 certification
