Job Description

The Systems Administrator plays a vital role in the IT Department at McShane Construction Company. This position is responsible for maintaining the stability and security of the company's computer network and all connected devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain network asset management, including inventory and documentation of network components and technical specifications.
  • Ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network and all connected PCs and peripherals.
  • Analyze and resolve end-user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Administer and maintain end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in technology or computer science.
  • Experience or willingness to learn construction industry best-practices for MS Teams and SharePoint administration.
  • Microsoft, Cisco (Meraki) and/or other technical certifications a plus.
  • Proven work experience in Information Technology.
  • Experience with Microsoft operating systems and administration.
  • Experience in project management, application integration, and cloud computing.
Work Conditions:

This position requires a fast-paced environment to ensure uptime during business hours. The Systems Administrator will also be required to lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
