We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Northwest Human Services, Inc. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to our patients, working closely with our medical team to break down behavioral barriers and support patients in achieving their wellness goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide mental health services to patients, including assessment, treatment planning, and goal setting.
- Work closely with our medical team to identify patients who may benefit from brief therapy and provide consultation and support on medical and behavioral issues.
- Assess the nature and extent of each patient's emotional, behavioral, and mental health presenting problem, and provide any necessary brief interventions.
- Ensure complete and timely documentation of patient services and maintain accurate records.
- Master's degree in counseling or a related field, or doctoral level education in Clinical Psychology.
- Licensed as an LCSW in the state of Oregon or have a master's degree in counseling and be licensed (LPC/LMFT).
- Experience working with persons who have mental health issues and those who are in emotional distress.
- Proficiency in using DSM-5-TR, DSM V, and ICD-10.
- Candidates with experience in a medical clinic are preferred.
