Job Summary:

The Sourcing Manager - Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing the company's sourcing activities, from initial supplier selection and qualification to the successful on-time delivery of quality products. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to negotiate and sustain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a 3-year sourcing strategy, targeting suppliers, supply countries of origin, and pricing targets.
  • Understand and analyze all factors impacting total landed cost.
  • Lead by example, maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers, scouting for additional vendors through various networks and channels.
  • Evaluate and improve the quality of products purchased, as well as the cost and timeliness of deliveries.
  • Work closely with the company's legal department to ensure favorable contracts and terms.
  • Communicate and negotiate with suppliers, monitoring their performance and identifying new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
  • Conduct cost analyses, set benchmarks for improvement, and negotiate prices for raw materials and delivery with suppliers.
  • Supervise a sourcing team, delegating tasks and training employees on company policies and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a supply chain, financial, or engineering curriculum.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of metrics management and ability to present examples of successful metrics-driven transformations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong supervisory or leadership skills, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of company products and supply chain logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound business judgments.
