Pay rate: $120,000-$150,000 plus bonus

Job Summary

The Supply Chain Director is responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain function, ensuring the integrity of materials management, and driving business growth through efficient inventory control and procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute inventory forecasting, planning, and control processes to optimize inventory investment and ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Implement and manage inventory planning and tactics to meet customer demands and achieve sales growth.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production and sales processes while minimizing costs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to promote best practices in inventory management, leveraging corporate systems and fostering collaboration across divisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet stretched targets for OTD, stock coverage, customer satisfaction, and cost reduction.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to evaluate customer and supplier requirements, lead times, and other factors impacting inventory planning.
  • Develop and implement a roadmap for make-or-buy purchasing agreements for direct and indirect categories, including services, maintenance, freight, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with the global commodity team to source and locate suppliers that meet the company's requirements for price, quality, and delivery.
  • Perform and publish root cause analyses on key metrics, including customer service levels, supplier performance, and inventory management.
  • Source and qualify suppliers, manage supplier relationships, and conduct quality assessments and visits as required.
  • Develop, manage, and report on KPIs for direct reports, ensuring they are trained and performing to the level of expectation necessary to contribute to the organization's success.
  • Continuously evaluate suppliers and alternate sources of parts to meet QCD targets and LEAN objectives for the division.
  • Develop and manage a system to evaluate, monitor, and report supplier performance.
  • Support a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to company policies.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and act as the ISO Element Champion for Purchasing and Supply Chain functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or equivalent. APICS and/or CPIM certification is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in procurement and materials management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Windows-based Office software, as well as ERP and MRP skills.
  • Experience in leading teams, developing direct reports, and managing budgets and personnel.
  • Demonstrated experience in a lean environment is desired.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and handle multiple priorities.
