Job Summary
Arnot Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience with nuclear medicine equipment, working with patients, and interacting with computer systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, including quality control, patient preparation, and image acquisition.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to physician orders.
- Manage radioactive materials and waste, adhering to departmental and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and maintain certification in nuclear medicine.
Requirements:
- Current certification in nuclear medicine (NMTCB or ARRT)
- Formal degree in nuclear medicine technology or related field
- Eligibility for New York State licensure
- Valid driver's license and insurability by Arnot Health
Additional Information:
- Work requires some physical effort, able to exert up to 100 lbs of force
- Category I exposure, tasks involve exposure to blood and body fluids
