Job Summary

Arnot Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience with nuclear medicine equipment, working with patients, and interacting with computer systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, including quality control, patient preparation, and image acquisition.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to physician orders.
  • Manage radioactive materials and waste, adhering to departmental and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and maintain certification in nuclear medicine.

Requirements:

  • Current certification in nuclear medicine (NMTCB or ARRT)
  • Formal degree in nuclear medicine technology or related field
  • Eligibility for New York State licensure
  • Valid driver's license and insurability by Arnot Health

Additional Information:

  • Work requires some physical effort, able to exert up to 100 lbs of force
  • Category I exposure, tasks involve exposure to blood and body fluids
