A Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs all Nuclear Medicine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures at Arnot Health and at Arnot Health physician offices as required. These may include:
- Quality control of all equipment.
- Reviewing physician orders for accuracy/appropriateness.
- Preparing the patient.
- Preparation and injection of radiopharmaceuticals.
- I.V. catheter insertion as required.
- Patient positioning.
- Image acquisition and processing.
- Interaction with various computer systems including but not limited to: camera systems, medical information system, PACS and nuclear medicine management system.
- Troubleshooting unexpected clinical or technical situations.
