We are seeking a skilled Audiovisual Installation Specialist to join our team at Great Hire Staffing. As an AV Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of audiovisual systems in commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to perform equipment installation, testing, and troubleshooting for commercial AV projects.
- Pull wire and provide structural mounting of equipment, including projectors, displays, microphones, and speakers.
- Install equipment racks and control panels, and connect and terminate cables and wire.
- Troubleshoot systems, equipment, and wire fails, and track and enter information such as serial numbers, IP addresses, and location of equipment.
- Ensure client sites are clean and organized, and maintain a professional presence on job sites.
- Travel to job sites, including overnight and evening work, and occasionally receive and ship inventory.
- Operate a forklift, if certified, and log time and attendance in our company system.
- Experience with audiovisual installation in commercial settings, such as performance venues, houses of worship, corporate conference rooms, video walls, and athletic fields.
- Knowledge of audiovisual cables, switchers, routers, and connectors, and soldering experience.
- Basic mechanical, carpentry, or construction skills, such as measuring, leveling, drilling, screwing, making physical connections, and labeling wire.
- Basic knowledge of Windows/MS Office and experience reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR), per company policy to maintain ability to be insured.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and efficiently.
This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of 8:00am-4:30pm, with overtime required as needed. The salary for this position is $25/hour.
