Job Summary:

The Audiovisual Installation Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of audiovisual equipment and systems. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to perform equipment installation, testing, and troubleshooting for commercial AV projects.
  • Pull wire and provide structural mounting of equipment, including projectors, displays, microphones, and speakers.
  • Install equipment racks and control panels, and connect and terminate cables and wire.
  • Troubleshoot systems, equipment, and wire fails, and track and enter information such as serial numbers, IP addresses, and location of equipment.
  • Ensure client sites are clean and tidy, and maintain a professional presence on job sites.
  • Compile daily work reports and log time and attendance in the company system.
  • May be required to take after-hours phone calls and attend job site meetings.
  • Travel may be required, including overnight and evening work.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience with audiovisual installation, including experience with cables, switchers, routers, and connectors. They will also have basic mechanical, carpentry, or construction skills, such as measuring, leveling, drilling, screwing, and making physical connections. A strong interest in AV and excellent communication skills are also essential. The candidate will be required to drive a company vehicle and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record. English language proficiency is also required.

8:00am-4:30pm (OT may be required)

Salary:

$25/hr
