Project Manager (Electric Utility)

City Light & Power, Inc. (CLP) is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our Ft. Campbell, KY location. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and completing projects on time, within budget, and within scope. You will oversee all aspects of projects, establish deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate project team personnel and resources
  • Enhance and maintain relationships with clients, engineering personnel, and consultants
  • Compile reports regarding financial performance of the project
  • Oversee cost control and change management systems
  • Attend and lead project meetings, including progress, pre-construction, and pre-award
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plans in coordination with Project Superintendent
  • Prepare trade contracts and bid packages with assistance from Estimating Team
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of the project are compatible with CLP goals and client needs
  • Oversee procurement process with Purchasing Department
  • Track and balance resources across multiple simultaneous projects
  • Set-up QA/QC procedures and conduct quality inspections
  • Work closely with Safety Director to communicate and enforce corporate Safety Program
Requirements:
  • Five to seven (5-7) years of project management experience required (construction or utility experience preferred)
  • Previous experience with CLP may be substituted for project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred
  • Experienced with blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to view time/cost/labor estimates for projects and services
  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to prepare construction schedules
  • Must have excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required with the ability to delegate work appropriately
  • Ability to work well with various partners from start to finish
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
