Job Summary:

Cambridge Health Alliance is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively manage patient flow through the clinic, ensuring efficient and timely care.
  • Room patients, prepare them for exams, and assist providers with medical histories.
  • Document patient information in the electronic health record, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Check routine vital signs and perform point-of-care testing, as needed.
  • Assist providers with clinical procedures, such as injections and minor surgeries.
  • Book screening tests and follow-up appointments, as part of our outreach process.
  • Participate in proactive population management of chronic diseases, generating MyCHArt messages and sending templated letters.
  • Communicate with patients by telephone, as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program or completion of an approved certified nursing assistant training program.
  • Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Ability to write and verbally communicate in English.
  • Fluency in a second language is preferred.
  • Current experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
