Job Summary:

As a Project Manager at Bennett Engineering Services, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the planning, design, and execution of water supply and/or wastewater projects. This role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring strict adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project pursuits, proposal development, and interviews for projects
  • Participate in the development of proposals for clients, including the development of innovative solutions, resource allocation, and the preparation of project scope, budget, and schedule
  • Organize, draft, and coordinate the production of design work, ensuring technical accuracy and the inclusion of appropriate documentation
  • Manage subconsultants, including scheduling and deliverables, as well as budgets and invoicing
  • Establish project scope, fee, and schedule, and manage budget and scheduling commitments
  • Track project costs and deliverables to successfully fulfill contract and project commitments and budgets
  • Develop, grow, and maintain client relationships, and act as a liaison between internal and external partners
  • Approve engineering deliverables, including stamp and signature, where applicable
  • Review and approve invoicing to clients
  • Perform various management, leadership, and resource accountability responsibilities for a specific technical group or department, including quality assurance
  • Have knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering sectors, generally with expertise in particular areas of civil engineering relating to water resources, hydraulics, water, wastewater, or hydrology
  • Act independently on technical matters pertaining to the field of work with minimal supervision
  • Manage a team of sub-consultants, engineers, and/or technicians, and coordinate the tasks and workflow of a team
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering
  • 3 to 6 years of related project management and/or team leadership experience and/or training
  • 10 to 16 years of Civil Engineering experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in and managing a team of technical staff in multiple disciplines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public and client presentations
Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Edge, Project)

Pay Transparency Statement: The compensation range reflects the company's reasonable expectation at the time of posting.
