Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Southwest Specialty Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs and obtaining medical histories.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and equipment, including sterilization and maintenance of supplies.
  • Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy as needed.
  • Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals, and answer phone calls to the practice.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or one year of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification is highly preferred, but not required.
  • Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials are highly preferred.
