Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse - Riverside

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in Riverside, CA. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job Summary:

The LVN will be responsible for assisting with the coordination of home care services, ensuring the health and safety needs of residents are met. This includes administering medications, assisting with activities of daily living, and providing emotional support and advocacy.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications to individuals and ensure compliance with the five rights for verification purposes
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and preparing meals
  • Assess residents' and participants' wounds, help with dressing changes, and breathing treatments as needed
  • Audit all medications during new medication cycles and verify the five rights
  • Perform g-tube insertions for feeding individuals and colostomy care
  • Evaluate residents' and participants' level of consciousness, neurological factors, and responsiveness post-seizure or traumatic episodes
  • Redirect in the event of a behavioral episode and continue to support and listen to individuals' needs
  • Complete and update client notes system on a daily basis, observing and reporting any unusual behaviors and injuries
  • Assess and identify signs and symptoms of infections, perform basic physical reviews, and participate in community outing events
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse License (Required)
  • First Aid/CPR and CPI certification
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a California Driver's License
  • Candidate must pass all pre-employment requirements, including a background check
Shift Availability:
  • Part-time PM shifts (Wed/Sat/Sun)
Work Location:
  • One location in Riverside, CA
