Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality instruction to students in the vocational nursing program, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and technologies to engage and motivate learners.
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with program objectives and industry standards, ensuring students receive a comprehensive education in vocational nursing.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and best practices.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and other college events to stay current on industry trends and advancements.
- Current active California license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- Approval by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT) prior to assuming the role of Instructor.
- Certificate of Completion of a course in teaching methodology of at least 30 hours.
- Current CPR Card.
- High School diploma required; Associate degree or above preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years practical experience as a licensed registered nurse within the last five (5) years.
