Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
- Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment, and conduct quality assurance tests.
- Lead a team of Quality Engineers on development and production programs, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure successful program execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Program Management Office, Supplier Quality Teams, and Customer, to provide world-class program execution.
- Support corrective actions using quality science tools via 8D methodology.
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or technical discipline and 6 years work experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and Production Process Verification (PPV) AS9102.
- Understanding of Quality Science tools (APQP/PPAP, 8D RCCA, Statistical Process Controls, Lean Six Sigma, Auditing) along with relevant industry standards (AS9100, AS9102, AS9145).
- Prior Quality Assurance Engineering experience.
- Production Hardware and Software processing.
- Program process definition and documentation.
- Lean Six Sigma tools.
- Hands-on experience in a Defense Contracting Environment.
BAE Systems USA offers a competitive salary range of $112,420 - $191,070, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan, and employee assistance programs.
