Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Field Supervisor Transmission and Distribution to oversee the work of line crews on electrical facilities in a safe and productive manner. The successful candidate will provide timely, cost-effective, and reliable service to customers, ensuring the highest quality of work while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the completion of capital and O&M work in the area, ensuring timely response to storm restoration efforts.
- Work directly with field and G.O. designers to develop mutually agreeable designs that meet approved hours.
- Apply safe working practices on the job, training and developing safety awareness among subordinates.
- Provide customer satisfaction by applying cost-effective work practices to ensure job quality and reliability.
- Supervise, prioritize, and schedule resources to effectively utilize and meet customer requirements during normal operations and storm emergencies.
- 5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical operations and maintenance.
- Demonstrated expertise/knowledge of energized and deenergized facilities, switching and tagging procedures, and training, clearances, and working space requirements.
- A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 3-5 years of experience as a journeyman in the linesman trade or 10 years of experience in transmission and distribution line facilities.
- Basic electric theory, identify and analyze trouble in electrical circuits, print reading, and moderate computer skills used in the linemen trade and office applications software.
- Thorough knowledge of safety rules/regulations, energy control process, company policies, work practices, and the labor agreement.
- Supervisory experience with leadership and teamwork skills, communication skills both oral and written.
- Possess a valid Pennsylvania Commercial Drivers License.
