Job Summary

As a key member of our team, the Operator-Call Center will be responsible for handling phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner. This role involves assisting staff, patients, providers, and the general public by providing information, directions, and routing calls to the appropriate departments. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer, transfer, and take messages for incoming and internal calls.
  • Assist patients, visitors, and callers by providing directions and looking up information.
  • Sort letters, type envelopes, and run lists for reminder cards.
  • Maintain sign-in books and visitor badges.
  • Assist patients in finding the appropriate provider and location that best suits their needs.
  • Page overhead codes, incidents, and alerts ambulance statuses.
  • Contact departments and maintain call schedules and provider schedules.
  • Maintain updated call lists.
Requirements and Preferences

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience

Preferred candidates will have 6-12 months of relevant experience in a clinic, medical office, or hospital setting with a basic understanding of medical terminology.
