Overview:
As a Desktop Support Analyst, you will play a crucial role in delivering technical assistance to end-users concerning hardware, software, and network issues. Your primary focus will be on diagnosing and resolving desktop-related incidents, ensuring a seamless user experience and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Address technical support inquiries through various channels, offering prompt and effective solutions.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain desktop systems, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Identify and resolve hardware and software challenges, including operating systems and application software.
  • Conduct regular updates, patches, and maintenance to uphold system performance and security.
  • Assist users with account management, password resets, and software installations.
  • Document and manage support requests and resolutions via a ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues to escalate complex issues and ensure comprehensive service delivery.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on software applications and hardware best practices.
  • Engage in IT projects as necessary, including system upgrades and new technology implementations.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT assets and assist with asset management duties.
  • Stay updated on emerging technology trends and best practices in user support.
  • Support team members through mentoring and training initiatives.

Qualifications:
Education:
Preferred candidates will have an Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Experience:
3-5 years in desktop support or technical support roles is desirable. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) are advantageous.

Technical Proficiencies:
Proficient in Windows 10 and 11, as well as macOS operating systems. Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 Suite and common software applications is essential. Knowledge of Active Directory, network troubleshooting, and security protocols is beneficial. Strong troubleshooting skills for both standalone and networked printers, as well as network connectivity issues, are required.

Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are crucial. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary. The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively is essential. Exceptional customer service skills and a positive demeanor are required, along with the capacity to manage multiple urgent issues simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with remote desktop support tools, such as ConnectWise, and familiarity with Windows imaging techniques, including Microsoft Intune image deployment, is a plus. Understanding of ITIL service management principles is also preferred.

Working Conditions:
Occasional after-hours support or on-call duties may be required. Candidates should be able to lift and move computer equipment (typically up to 50 lbs.) as necessary.
