The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a skilled Production Color Specialist to join our team at Facility #4347. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for conducting paint drawdowns, preparing, and blending customer orders to meet their specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare customer orders: Blend, adjust, fill, and label batches to meet customer requirements.
- Operate equipment: Use tinting and mixing equipment, material handling equipment, and other machinery in an efficient and safe manner.
- Quality control: Ensure customers' quality and service expectations are met by monitoring gauges, dials, or other machinery indicators.
- Inventory management: Perform inventory controls and maintain quality standards.
- Housekeeping: Keep tools, equipment, and work environment clean and organized daily.
- Reporting: Maintain production records and reporting as required.
- Communication: Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including safety, loss prevention, and security.
Requirements:
- Age: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Work authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
- Physical demands: Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work experience: At least one (1) year of work experience mixing or blending raw materials and making a product in an industrial batch process.
- Equipment operation: At least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollys, conveyor belts, etc.
- Machinery monitoring: At least one (1) year of work experience monitoring gauges, dials, or other machinery indicators to ensure proper operation of machinery.
- Quality monitoring: At least one (1) year of work experience monitoring the quality of raw materials and/or finished goods.
- Machinery operation: At least one (1) year of work experience operating machinery in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
- Facility experience: At least one (1) year of work experience working in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility.
- Color matching experience: At least one (1) year of experience working with tinting or color matching equipment.
