Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and refine tooling and die profiles tailored for both new and existing clients.
  • Implement modifications and enhancements to existing plant and extruder operations.
  • Contribute to capital improvement initiatives, including the integration of advanced extruders, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Specific Duties:

  • Lead the development of new processes and the incorporation of innovative materials into current manufacturing lines.
  • Support the testing and scaling of new product launches, while overseeing scrap reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Analyze and document the capabilities of both new and existing equipment, offering recommendations for enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to processes and equipment that fail to meet production standards.
  • Evaluate existing materials and processes, proposing modifications as necessary for product development and process optimization.
  • Conduct tests on various processes, products, and materials to facilitate new product introductions and process enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Plastics, Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, or a related discipline).
  • 1-4 years of experience in process engineering, design, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and advanced quality principles.
  • Strong mechanical and equipment knowledge.
  • Proficient analytical skills for effective troubleshooting.
  • Excellent technical writing and computer skills.
