Position Overview:
The Lead Educational Intervention Coordinator at Bellefaire JCB is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in specialized educational settings. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure effective educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute tailored educational strategies for individual students and groups.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each student.
- Design lesson plans that cater to the unique strengths and challenges of students, utilizing diverse teaching methods.
- Facilitate and lead IEP meetings, engaging with parents, school representatives, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and instructional plans.
- Oversee classroom management and provide general supervision to ensure a safe learning environment.
- Conduct parent meetings to discuss student progress and strategies for support.
- Evaluate and mentor associate teachers and instructional aides, including conducting performance reviews.
- Participate in the hiring and disciplinary processes for team members, as well as address any grievances.
- Assign tasks and guide associate teachers and instructional aides in their roles.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and report any incidents to the appropriate authorities.
- Implement fire and safety training for students in collaboration with safety personnel.
- Prepare quarterly progress reports summarizing student data and IEP advancements.
- Lead regular team meetings to discuss student needs, curriculum development, and behavior management.
- Collect and input data for all assigned students on a weekly basis.
Additional Duties:
- Engage in professional development activities, including training sessions and workshops.
- Attend staff meetings and ongoing training sessions as required.
- Maintain current certifications and licenses in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Contribute to the clinical record-keeping process by completing documentation in a timely manner.
- Uphold client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions.
- Exhibit professionalism and comply with organizational policies and procedures.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree minimum.
- Licensure: Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist Teaching License and Non-Tax Teaching Certificate. Current Ohio Department of Education license for specialty area preferred.
- Skills: Ability to relate sensitively to diverse populations and work effectively with various groups. Strong initiative and independent judgment are essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- Experience: Relevant experience in working with children with autism is preferred.
