Job Summary:

This role is accountable for the precise and timely closure of the monthly general ledger, assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements and regulatory submissions, collaborating with the organization on budget oversight and expense management, and adhering to established audit protocols and controls.

Responsibilities include generating reports and delivering insights from financial analyses to facilitate informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute journal entries, perform reconciliations, and create and disseminate reports to support the monthly general ledger closure.
  • Prepare financial information, track filing obligations, and draft necessary documents for annual statements and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct financial analyses using various analytical techniques, including variance and trend assessments.
  • Collaborate with business leaders on budget oversight and expense management, ensuring accurate cost allocations and conducting thorough expense evaluations.
  • Maintain compliance with audit requirements through collaboration with auditors, adherence to control protocols, and timely updates to documentation.
  • Engage in project teams and deliver presentations for the Finance Department.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience or 6 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with GAAP or STAT accounting standards.
  • Strong financial analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and resolve problems effectively.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Numerical proficiency and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in PC applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
