Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in daily department operations and ensure store revenue and goals are met.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure product meets company pricing and quality standards.
  • Responsible for aiding in daily decision making, scheduling, and completion of reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain the store in a safe, clean, and well-organized manner with merchandised products.
  • Assume all daily responsibilities in the absence of the Manager.
  • Assist the Manager in ensuring employment relationship issues are resolved according to the organization's best practices, culture, core values, laws, and regulations.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, training, and professional development in a positive work environment to motivate staff, increase productivity, and achieve departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to prepare and issue Annual Performance Evaluations and 5-Minute Goal Setting Conversations, P&Ls, and production and revenue budgets.
  • Implement organizational initiatives such as 4DX methodology and Kaizen continual improvement.
  • Report any concerns or ongoing issues related to the department and provide feedback on resolution.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • One to two years related experience.
  • Basic computer skills, email, internet use, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • CA Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Goodwill's insurance company requirements.
  • Forklift certification and ability to operate pallet jack (for After Market and NC Clearance Center roles).
