Research Scientist - Reality Labs

Meta is seeking a Research Scientist to join our Reality Labs team, where we're pushing the boundaries of human-computer interaction using neuromotor interfaces. As a Research Scientist, you'll be part of a multi-disciplinary team investigating the nature of human neuromotor signals, developing novel signal processing and machine learning methods, and creating innovative interaction techniques and user experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop deep learning models and algorithms to analyze and leverage rich multimodal data sets.
  • Set technical direction for a project of 2-3 researchers and engineers, and help transition and deliver our work from research into product.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate our research into product development.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, signal processing, and human-computer interaction, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation in our research.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics.
  • Experience with developing machine learning models at scale from inception to business impact.
  • Programming experience in Python and hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch.
  • Exposure to architectural patterns of large-scale software applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • First-author publications at peer-reviewed AI conferences.
  • Experience in software engineering in industry.
  • Experience bringing machine learning-based products from research to production.
