Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. This individual will be a leader who can assist the Electrical Section Manager in managing and guiding the Electrical Group.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical design teams for multiple concurrent projects
  • Coordinate the work of electrical engineers with the balance of a multi-disciplined team throughout a project's development and construction
  • Coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule
  • Track the financial aspects of projects, coordinate and adjust the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within budget
  • Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document working sessions with clients
  • Establish and maintain client relationships, participate in marketing, design, and production meetings with regard to electrical systems
  • Conduct reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
  • Act as a mentor for junior staff members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
  • P.E. required
  • 10 years of experience in electrical design of complex buildings
  • Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting, and signal design, including life safety systems and energy monitoring systems
  • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software
  • Familiarity with Revit preferred
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm required
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required
