Position Overview:
The Lead Electric Operations Supervisor is responsible for guiding the team to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely execution of tasks related to the construction, operation, maintenance, and emergency restoration of electric distribution and transmission systems.

This role emphasizes effective collaboration among team members and departments within the organization. A strong commitment to fostering a safety-oriented work culture is essential, as is the ability to inspire and engage employees to provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe execution of field operations, setting clear safety expectations for the team.
- Address safety concerns promptly and communicate lessons learned to promote continuous improvement in safe work practices.
- Make informed decisions and prioritize tasks to optimize resource utilization.
- Provide ongoing feedback and set clear performance expectations for team members, addressing any performance issues effectively.
- Ensure compliance with local union agreements and work collaboratively to resolve any grievances.
- Participate in pre-construction reviews to facilitate efficient field operations and coordinate efforts with other utilities and contractors as needed.
- Monitor project budgets to ensure financial compliance.

Prepare, review, and approve time, expenses, materials, and other company documentation accurately and promptly, adhering to established protocols.

Demonstrate a customer-centric approach by resolving customer issues swiftly through collaboration with team members and other departments.
- Fulfill storm duty assignments and participate in the on-call rotation as required.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:


Possess a comprehensive understanding of safe construction, operation, and maintenance methods for electric T&D facilities across various voltage levels.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
Maintain switching and tagging qualifications.

Proficient in computer technology and capable of learning and utilizing relevant information systems.

Familiarity with PC applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Education:
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience is mandatory.

Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years of related experience is required, with a preference for candidates with supervisory experience in electric distribution.

Licenses & Certifications:
A valid Motor Vehicle License is required; a D.O.T. Driver's License is preferred.

Working Conditions:
Availability for emergency restoration assignments is required, along with the ability to travel as necessary.

Work is conducted in various outdoor conditions, including adverse weather, as well as in a standard office environment requiring physical activity such as sitting, walking, and climbing stairs.

Responsibilities include driving to various job sites to supervise operations and engage with customers regarding construction requirements.
Extended periods of computer use may be necessary.
Shift work, including weekends, and on-call responsibilities are part of the role, requiring flexibility to respond to outages and coverage needs.

Mental Aspects:
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines and customer expectations is crucial.
Effective communication with customers and the public during stressful situations is essential.

Clear articulation of job and safety-related information to employees and constructive addressing of performance issues is required.

Timely response to problem situations at any hour is necessary.
