Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Surveying Coordinator to join our team at the NYC Department of Design and Construction. As a key member of our surveying field team, you will be responsible for making as-built surveys, sketches, and drawings for completed capital projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and document field elevations and slope details on sewer, water mains, and roadway construction projects
  • Perform various field party functions, such as instrument person and document maintainer
  • Conduct research and prepare associated final project drawings
  • Conduct final survey inspection of construction work during the guarantee period for completed work
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in surveying, surveying engineering, or a related field
  • Two years of full-time satisfactory land surveying experience
  • Valid New York State motor vehicle driver license
Preferred Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • Experience in topographic survey of water, sewers, and roadway construction
