The Development Assistant provides critical support to Major Gift Officers, Directors of Development, and other development staff in advancing the overall development and alumni-related functions of The Pennsylvania State University. This role involves prospect and project management, data collection and compilation, administrative support, and liaison services between the unit and central DDAR. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with development staff, committee volunteers, and other stakeholders to maximize fundraising efforts and success.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and provide various reports for Major Gift Officers and Directors of Development, ensuring accurate donor tracking and database record management.
- Assist in developing prospect strategies and provide administrative support for travel and events.
- Coordinate outreach and special events, including annual giving campaigns.
- Develop and distribute development marketing and promotional materials, such as newsletters.
- Participate in portfolio management and maintain donor records.
- Perform other administrative tasks, including updating schedules and calendars and overseeing equipment and office supplies.
This position requires a High School Diploma or higher, plus 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $38,000 to $55,500.00, with additional information on Penn State's job and salary structure available. Employment with the University will require successful completion of background checks in accordance with University policies.
