Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Liaison Engineer at PSA Airlines will serve as the Subject Matter Expert in addressing technical discrepancies related to aircraft during daily operations, ensuring that PSA operates the CRJ-700/900 safely and reliably.

Job Responsibilities
  • Issuing repairs and providing technical engineering guidance for CRJ-700/900 aircraft during operations to ensure safe, timely, and compliant functioning of Large Transport Category aircraft within a 121 Airline Operation
  • Translating technical requirements between OEM MHIRJ and PSA's frontline maintenance operations
  • Offering technical engineering support for aircraft out of service (AOS) within PSA's fleet as necessary
  • Preparing for and executing on-site recovery of aircraft with both major and minor structural damage
  • Conducting engineering evaluations of real-time safety events (e.g., hard landings, severe turbulence) and implementing corrective actions as required
  • Possessing knowledge of Code of Regulations (CFRs), airworthiness design and substantiation criteria, as well as aircraft and equipment design and operational characteristics
  • Interpreting complex technical engineering and OEM documentation
  • Assisting in the development of Temporary Repair Requirements within the M&E system
  • Collaborating with all aspects of the airline to achieve outstanding safety and reliability outcomes
  • Providing 24/7 technical assistance to company personnel to enhance the technical proficiency of frontline AMTs
  • Overseeing the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
Position Specifics

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
  • Relevant experience in Technical Operations/Maintenance within a 121 Airline Operator
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to stakeholders
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English
  • Must be authorized to work in the US if hired
Additional Information

Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not involve supervisory duties

Delegation: In the absence of the Liaison Engineer, responsibilities will be delegated to the Director of Engineering & Technical Services

Authorities: None

Work Environment: This role operates in a professional office setting, routinely utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines, and filing cabinets.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb stairs, lift weights up to 25 lbs, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
