Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director, Creative Development to lead our creative expansion into new scripted genres on YouTube. This is a ground floor opportunity to help shape the creative direction of Dhar Mann Studios, ensuring that our stories continue to captivate, inspire, and impact our global audience. The ideal candidate will have recent scale success on YouTube, a deep understanding of the digital content landscape, a passion for storytelling, solid scripted experience and the ability to handle development from research to pilot execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a YouTube-native development process from idea to final pitch, including research, ideation, creating formats, writing decks and bibles, outlining beat sheets and scripts, producing sizzles, and providing creative feedback
  • Monitor trends, competitive landscape, best practices, platform dynamics, audience feedback and analytics to continuously refine and improve YouTube success.
  • Designing and overseeing a high-volume, high-quality development process for a YouTube environment, ensuring effective management of multiple projects at various stages of development
  • Source new innovative ideas, talent, and IP for development.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support development and decision-making.
  • Lead creative on new platform projects such as podcasts and live tours
  • Ensure that all development projects are creatively aligned with Dhar Mann Studios vision and goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the industry
  • Collaborate with marketing and distribution teams to maximize audience reach for each project
Requirements
  • Recent hands-on scale experience with the YouTube and Facebook platforms and other social media channels, including trends, audience behavior, and content formats.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in scripted creative development, with a strong background in low cost production and digital media. Minimum 3+ years experience with YouTube.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing creative teams and projects from concept to completion.
  • Excellent storytelling abilities with a keen eye for compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate creative visions and inspire teams.
  • A passion for creating content that has a positive impact on audiences.
