About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Service Technician IV to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing installed fire alarm and security systems, including panel repair and reprogramming, device replacement and repair, and system testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex fire alarm and security systems, including Simplex systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and operational manuals
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills and communicate effectively with district staff and customers
  • Complete service acknowledgements and obtain customer signatures
  • Participate in on-call rotation and help train or mentor others on the service team
  • Provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service and upsell opportunities

Requirements

  • 4+ years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational manuals
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and perform physical labor
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends, and maintain a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • NICET Level II certification
