Front Desk Representative

The Front Desk / Patient Services Representative performs a variety of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the front office. This includes greeting patients, checking them in, and verifying their insurance information. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Greet patients and check them in on a daily basis
- Collect co-pays and coinsurances from patients
- Verify and update patient insurance information
- Attach billing data to each encounter
- Check patients out as needed to assist with patient flow
- Prepare deposits and ensure they are taken to the bank in a timely manner
- Prepare end of day packets and upload them according to SOX approved workflow
- Create new patient charts in the computer system
- Send paperwork to appropriate departments via inter-office mail
- Book appointments in the scheduling system
- Confirm appointments for the following business day as needed
- Assist with office duties that can be performed at the check in/out desk
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Two years minimum front office experience in a medical environment
