Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Event Planner to join our team at Philly Temps & Perm. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity that offers a competitive salary of up to $50,000 on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating memorable experiences and possess strong organizational skills to manage various aspects of event planning. This role requires creativity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

As an Event Coordinator Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating all elements of events, from conception to execution, ensuring that every detail aligns with our clients' vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Conceptualization: Develop and manage event concepts, themes, and timelines to create engaging experiences for clients and their guests.
  • Logistics Management: Coordinate logistics for events, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and accommodations, to ensure seamless execution.
  • Presentation Development: Utilize Canva to prepare presentations that effectively communicate event details to stakeholders.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Create and manage budgets for each event, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximizing ROI.
  • Vendor Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best services at competitive rates.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with teams to assist with taking photos for social media to promote events effectively through various channels.
  • On-Site Event Management: Oversee on-site event management to ensure smooth execution and address any issues that arise.
  • Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations to assess successes and areas for improvement.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: Proven experience in event planning or management is mandatory - at least 3 years of experience.
  • Canva Proficiency: Experience in Canva is strongly considered.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Financial Management: Experience in budgeting and financial management related to events.
  • Catering Services: Familiarity with catering services and vendor negotiations.
  • Event Marketing Strategies: Knowledge of event marketing strategies to enhance visibility and attendance.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
