Financial Analyst II - Financial Products Job Description

At National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst II - Financial Products to join our Capital Markets Relations team. This role is responsible for performing analysis and review of financial products, including loan syndication and leasing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for the syndicated loan portfolio, compile loan advances in the Guaranteed Underwriter Program database, and report the monthly loan balance for the program.
  • Monitor loan activity and coordinate loan closings and funding activities, including the distribution of funds, interest payments, and covenant compliance deadlines.
  • Perform day-to-day accounting activities related to syndicated loan transactions and serve as the primary contact for loan inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as an intermediary to ensure smooth transactions between lessors and lessees and collaborate cross-functionally to support leasing transactions and activities.
  • Ensure compliance by supporting internal and external audit processes, including regulatory requirements, and participate in the development and implementation of controls to mitigate operational and financial risks.
  • Identify opportunities for financial efficiencies and process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in loan accounting, loan servicing, preferably with exposure to syndicated loans or commercial lending or leasing.
  • Experience with loan servicing systems such as ACBS is desired.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of loan accounting principles and practices, including loan origination and servicing.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to syndicated loans.
