Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Director to lead our construction operations and ensure seamless project delivery. As a key member of our team, you will oversee daily field operations, providing guidance and leadership to site staff while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience as a Superintendent in interior, high-end commercial general contracting, with a proven track record of managing complex projects in occupied spaces. They should be capable of managing multiple quick turnaround projects simultaneously and demonstrate proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications. Strong client service skills and an understanding of the trades associated with commercial interior construction and high-end renovation projects are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction progress, quality control, housekeeping, and daily log;
  • Guidance and leadership of site staff, including assistant superintendents, laborers, and other construction-related personnel;
  • Management of schedule, including weekly preparation of 2-week look ahead;
  • Proactive scheduling and coordination of subcontractors to ensure completion of the project according to the project schedule and budget;
  • Development of a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments, including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections;
  • Maintenance of assigned job site operations in compliance with design/specifications, completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards;
  • Demonstration of effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations, and any deviation in the direction of the project;
  • Collaboration with project management to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects changes in project status and meets cost and time requirements;
  • Conducting weekly meetings, including project and subcontractor meetings;
  • Management of the RFI process, consisting of creation of and suggestions on solutions to site issues and tracking them through close out;
  • Exceeding client expectations by understanding client needs, wants, preferences, and culture;
  • Promotion of positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors; and instilling this philosophy in project team members;
  • Maintenance and review of punch list process to ensure all items are addressed and executed in a timely manner;
  • Management of the close-out process and warranty responses with project manager.


Salary Information
This is a full-time position with an estimated annual salary of $115,000-$135,000, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
