Pediatric Oncology Registered Nurse

9 Children's is a specialized Pediatric Hematology and Oncology unit featuring 24 private rooms. This unit also accommodates Blood and Marrow Transplant patients as well as surgical overflow cases.
Our team members are dedicated to forming lasting relationships with patients and families who often experience extended hospital stays and frequent returns due to their treatment plans.
Although we operate as an acute care unit, we provide specialized care for patients with higher acuity levels than most other units.

Scope of Work
The Registered Nurse (RN), adhering to the ANA scope of practice, employs the nursing process framework to deliver professional nursing care. This includes integrating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and facilitate discharge.
The RN is responsible for providing high-quality patient care under the guidance of the Nurse Leader, in accordance with Corewell Health policies and procedures, while recognizing the influence of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on health outcomes.
The RN collaborates with patients and families to incorporate their input and goals into the care plan, developing educational strategies for patient/family understanding and documenting this education appropriately in the health record.

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required within 5 years
- Current MI Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days
Full-time position with night shifts. Weekly scheduled hours: 36. Variable days worked with every other weekend required.
