Scope of Work
As a Pediatric ICU RN, you will utilize the nursing process to provide professional nursing care to critically ill children. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. You will also develop and implement teaching strategies to promote patient and family education.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to critically ill children
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Develop and implement teaching strategies to promote patient and family education
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within 5 years
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 1 year of hire
- 2 years of experience as an inpatient RN preferred
- ICU experience preferred
Work Environment
Full-time position
Night shift (7:00pm-7:30am)
36 hours per week
Variable nights
Every third weekend
