Job Summary

The Automation Engineer is a key leadership role responsible for delivering outcomes aligned with the Roofing Division portfolio. This role leads the development and execution of Controls & Automation workstreams for capital projects, driving future of work initiatives and developing consistent, repeatable processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the definition of new application requirements and update existing applications based on functional requirements.
  • Provide cost/benefit tradeoff analysis to management.
  • Design, integrate, and test robotic and automation systems.
  • Deploy automation systems to the manufacturing floor and ensure effective training for operations and maintenance.
  • Own the overall success of capital projects and ensure business outcomes are realized and sustainable.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Five to ten years of experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated technical and leadership skills.
  • Broad background including hands-on experience with PLCs/HMI, drives, robots, motion controls, and associated programming software.
  • Technical project management skills.
