Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Technology Specialist to join our team at Horizon Group. As an Automation Technology Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our automation and process control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • System Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough troubleshooting and analysis of control problems to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement and implement optimization measures to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Programming and System Updates: Develop and implement new programming and system updates to ensure our automation systems remain up-to-date and efficient.
Requirements:
  • Education and Qualifications: Completed technical apprenticeship as an electrician, electronics technician, mechatronics technician, or comparable qualification.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in working with controls, especially Siemens S7, and experience with process control systems and basic knowledge of process engineering.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong teamwork and resilience skills, with a willingness to work in a fully continuous shift operation.
