Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Enrollment Support Specialist to join our team at Community College of Philadelphia. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing educational credentials, determining appropriate placement for English and math, and ensuring accurate course prerequisites and co-requisites for registration and transfer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process prerequisite drops, including running ARGOs reports and verifying student accuracy.
  • Manage generic emails for the Transfer Credit Placement Office, guest student services, and counter services.
  • Assist students with transcript evaluation questions and requests, provide prerequisite overrides, and help with class search and availability.
  • Generate permission letters for students and process Prior Learning Assessment.
  • Verify course substitutions for graduation and respond to department head requests.
  • Award placement waivers and verify course prerequisites and co-requisites prior to enrollment.
  • Input official transcripts into internal databases as needed.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with various College departments to ensure quality services and support to the enrollment process.
  • Troubleshoot and report issues and problems in enrollment support area as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years of related work experience in a college/university required.
  • One year of relevant experience using student information systems required; experience with Banner preferred.
  • One year of relevant experience working in a customer service environment required.
  • Excellent planning, administrative, and organizational skills, as well as experience managing projects.
  • Ability to multi-task and process high volumes of work with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in all media.
  • Computer proficiency using MS Word and Excel required.
  • Self-motivated and able to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to quality customer service principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems using independent judgment and basic problem-solving techniques with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to promote and maintain a positive, respectful work environment for staff.
  • Ability to work extended hours and an occasional Saturday, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous work experience in an enrollment-related support service such as admissions, registration, records maintenance, or academic advising preferred.
