Position Overview
Tecta & Schwickerts is seeking a qualified Project Manager / Estimator to oversee and manage roofing projects from initiation to completion. This role involves estimating costs for repair and reroofing projects, ensuring that all aspects of project management are executed effectively.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with various roofing systems is advantageous.
- Experience in the construction industry or a strong interest in construction trades is recommended.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey instructions and project updates.
- Proficient in mathematical calculations, including discounts and basic geometry.
- Competent in using software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with site supervisors to assess labor production capabilities.
- Engage with production teams to comprehend production workflows.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine material and labor needs.
- Interpret contract details and client specifications.
- Coordinate with fellow project managers and estimators to procure materials and subcontractor services.
- Review and authorize invoices, material slips, and purchase orders.
- Examine contracts and proposals to ensure compliance with company standards and project scope.
- Maintain transparent communication with clients regarding project progress and address any concerns.
- Manage schedules, document changes, prepare submissions, and promote safety and quality assurance.
- Adhere to and uphold company policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements:

Compensation and Benefits:
Tecta & Schwickerts offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company matching, paid time off, and paid holidays. Salary is commensurate with experience, ranging from $75,000 to $100,000.
