Job Overview

The Senior CIM Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in supporting and analyzing critical semiconductor manufacturing systems. This includes overseeing the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Advanced Process Control systems, Engineering Data Analysis systems, and Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Operators, Equipment Engineers, Process Engineers, Production Technicians, IT Engineers, and fellow CIM team members to provide effective support for MES and associated systems.
  • Oversee Master Maintenance functions alongside the CIM technician to ensure quality and consistency in the core MES system and its related downstream systems.
  • Regularly monitor the stability, performance, and availability of MES, APC, Dispatch, EDA, and CAD systems through coordinated maintenance efforts.
  • Assist in resolving unscheduled events and enhance the efficiency of the escalation process.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and client resources during the testing phase to ensure that developed solutions meet client requirements and maintain system stability.
  • Participate in and occasionally lead the setup of test data for unit, performance (load, stress), and system integration testing.
  • Act as a liaison between the applications/solutions team and various organizations to gather requirements and develop optimal solutions for different aspects of the manufacturing process.
  • Adhere to established coding standards, naming conventions, methodology standards, and code libraries.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in the implementation and operation of manufacturing execution and process control systems.
  • Proficient in identifying, evaluating, and developing procedural and system solutions that are cost-effective and meet user needs.
  • Familiarity with servers and various operating systems such as Linux/Unix and Windows Server.
  • Strong programming skills, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a solid understanding of database structures/queries and systems integration concepts are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing execution and process control systems.
  • Networking experience, particularly with TCP/IP and DECnet, is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Visual Basic and C++.
  • Familiarity with operating systems including Windows client/server, Linux/Unix/Solaris/HPUX, and OpenVMS is a plus.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret technical documents and manuals.
  • Capability to create and maintain operational and training documentation.

Additional Information

  • This position requires on-site work.
  • The role operates Monday through Friday, with overtime and on-call duties as necessary.
  • Travel may be required as needed.
  • Only individuals authorized to work in the US indefinitely will be considered for this position.

The salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 - $130,000, with individual pay determined by factors such as work experience, job knowledge, and role complexity. Additional benefits include health, dental, and vision plans, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, a 401(K) retirement plan with employer match, wellness programs, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, paid time off, and parental leave.

Pay ranges mentioned generally reflect base salary; certain positions may include bonuses or additional benefits.
