Role Responsibilities

KEY DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Employing sound engineering principles and product knowledge to ensure the product fulfills functional and customer specifications and is ready for timely release.
  • Taking ownership of product validation, including defining and executing test plans, and leading failure analysis efforts.
  • Leading performance characterization of products and investigating any detected anomalies.
  • Contributing to the development of the overall testing schedule.
  • Crafting test plans for new product features, generating test matrices, reports, and other essential documentation for seamless program execution.
  • Defining new tests based on customer insights and defect resolutions.
  • Executing existing and regression test cases throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
  • Collaborating closely with system test, hardware, ASIC, and firmware engineers to enhance testing methodologies and devise new tests and strategies.
  • Configuring customer hardware and software systems; diagnosing issues to identify root causes.
  • Maintaining customer and testing equipment to the latest revisions.

Required Qualifications

ESSENTIAL:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Storage/Networking.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, SCSI, Ethernet, RDMA, and PCIe.
  • Experience in performance analysis techniques with a focus on root cause analysis of anomalies.
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Familiarity with scripting in Python.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret PCIe/NVMe/Ethernet traces.
  • Proven experience in drafting detailed test plans.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with innovative thinking for hardware testing and validation.
  • Experience with Secure Boot, Secure Firmware Download, Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.3, Asymmetric Cryptography, Symmetric Cryptography (AES-GCM), and Quantum-safe Cryptography.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive attitude, capable of contributing both individually and within a group setting.

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of secure development processes.
  • Experience in penetration testing.
  • Familiarity with FIPS 140-2/140-3 standards.
